Wages Records to be Kept
RACING QUEENSLAND LTD WILL NOT APPROVE TRAINEE APPRENTICE
OR APPRENTICE LICENSES WHERE THE EMPLOYER CANNOT
PROVIDE
TIME AND WAGE
RECORDS AS REQUIRED BY FAIR WORK AUSTRALIA.
Employers must be able to provide time and wage records for all
apprentices and trainees under both State and Federal laws.

An employer must keep a record in respect of each
employee about:
(a) basic employment details such
as the name of the employer and the employee and the nature of
their employment (e.g. part-time, full-time, permanent, temporary
or casual);and
(b) pay; and
(c) overtime hours; and
(d) averaging arrangements; and
(e) leave entitlements; and
(f) superannuation
contributions; and
(g) termination of employment
(where applicable); and
(h) individual flexibility
arrangements and guarantees of annual earnings.
Records must be properly maintained.
For example, regulation 3.31 sets out form requirements to make
sure that records are legible and readily accessible to an
inspector.
