The inaugural Country Queensland Showcase Racing Series race meeting will be conducted at the Kilcoy race track on the Queen`s Birthday holiday Monday, October 1, 2012.

The Committee and supporters of the Kilcoy Race Club are grateful for the confidence shown by the board of Racing Queensland in allotting such an historical meeting to their club. The race day program will be supported by six other quality races and the club is grateful to the major sponsors, K.P.C., Searles Garden Products, Butler McDermott Lawyers, Somerset Regional Council, The Bookies Club , Bechly`s Transport and Mr Shane Chataway.

The day will be a “showcase” for Fashions on the Field with great prizes to be won. Prizes have been donated by Brisbane Racing Club, Harvey World Travel and various Kilcoy businesses and families.

A major lucky book prize will be a two night stay at the bush camp, Leopard Tree Lodge Country Retreat, Kilcoy, close to the shores of Lake Somerset. Other supporting prizes will be a $50 meat tray donated by Glen Archer Butchery, plus double passes to the Sunshine Coast Turf Club races. The community of Kilcoy is strongly supporting the Kilcoy Race Club.

Gates open at 10:30am and the first local race is scheduled for 1:13pm. Food facilities, refreshments and the famous Kilcoy steak sandwiches will be readily available.

What better way to celebrate the Queen`s Birthday holiday than by being at Kilcoy race track enjoying country racing at its best with the friendly atmosphere that Kilcoy offers.
