With the introduction of eight races at $17,000 for all Midweek Metropolitan meetings as from September 1, it is envisaged that these meetings will attract stronger participation.
Consequently, the first starter rating for Provincial 1 and 2 and Country 1 and 2 has been reduced by one point (.5kg) i.e. to 59,56,53 and 51, respectively, thereby creating a 1kg difference between Midweek and Provincial 1 (Gold Coast, Ipswich, Sunshine Coast and Toowoomba) and so on.
